BUILDING COMMUNITY:- The question has come up in regards to the people who leave mass before the Final Blessing and/or before the procession reaches the back of the church.  The Parish Pastoral Council in dealing with this question is concerned about the demoralizing effect it has on the parish community and the purpose that brings us together.  Knowing no one wants to give the wrong impression, let us recommit ourselves to a spirit of fellowship and community; let us finish together what we have started together.

WE ARE NOT GOING AWAY!  That is the rallying cry this year. Inspite of our presenting to the federal government over 340,000 petition cards, and in spite of the March 2007 recommendations of the National Roundtable on Corporate Social Responsibility and the Canadian Extractive Industry in Developing Countries, Ottawa has not yet chosen to act. This year we are adding the Land issue to the campaign as mining operations often result in forced displacement of indiginous peoples and destruction of their land. Please refer to the pamphlet attached to this bulletin. You will be asked next week to sign one more petition card.

Out of the depths I call to you, Lord; Lord, hear my cry!  May your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.  If you, Lord, mark our sins, who can stand?  But with You is forgiveness and so You are revered.

- Psalm 130:2-4

Come on a Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat and call upon Our Lord for His great mercy and forgiveness.  He is waiting for you.
