colognes be avoided as some parishioners have allergies to scents. ADVENT BOX We will have the “Family Advent Box” again this
year. It contains articles that
help families prepare for Christmas. There
is a schedule at the main entrance of the church for families to sign up to
have the box in their home. The
family that has the box will need to get in touch with the next family so that
it can be exchanged. It is very
important to leave your phone number on the sign up sheet.
It will be the responsibility of the family that has the box to refill
the goody box before it gets passed on. We
look forward to this year’s comments in the comment book included in the
box. The box will be given to the
first family on the schedule on Nov 29th (the first Sunday of

Pope
Pius X A personal friend once brought up the scathing
abuse Pope Pius X received from a Modernist writer. At which the Pope smiled.
“Come”, he said, “did he not also say that, after all, I was a
good priest? Now, of all praise,
that is the only praise I have ever valued.”
“A holy priest makes others holy”, he said on another occasion;
“A priest who is not holy is not only useless but harmful.”
