Knights of Columbus will be hosting their monthly breakfast after the Sunday
Masses this weekend. EUCHARISTIC ADORATION FOR
FAMILIES: The North Okanagan Deanery
Family Life Ministry, in cooperation with the Kelowna Serra Club and St. Pius
X Church, invites you and your family to learn more about reverence and
Eucharistic Adoration at a family evening of prayer in front of the Blessed
Sacrament with a special monstrance blessed by the Holy Father, Pope Benedict
XVI. Please join us at St. Pius X Church for this child-oriented event this
Friday, May 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. with fellowship to follow in the
hall until 8:00 p.m. Coffee and
juice provided please bring a snack to share.
For more information, call 762-2587. MUSIC MINISTRIES OF ST PIUS X: We are inviting all adult choir vocalists, and others wanting
to join, (instrumentalists welcome to attend), to an “ongoing workshop”
commencing Friday May 23rd at 7:15 – 8:45 p.m. in our church. Tony Serka, B.A.-ARCT,
and specializing in voice & choir training will instruct, and Gerry Curtis
will play the organ as needed. Presently, we are looking at May 23rd,
May 30th, and once or twice a month thereafter for a year.
Cost will be $10 per person, per time.
This is a wonderful opportunity for commitment to an excellent catholic

Fr. Bart is looking for a person who is willing to represent the parish
on Kelowna’s Family Ministry Team. This
group of individuals helps coordinate Family Ministry Activities for the wider
Catholic Community. Meetings are
held at 7 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the Month. REQUEST:
When patients are at Kelowna General Hospital from out of town for any
extended time, it can be a hardship for family members to find accommodations.
If you would be willing to be on a list to billet family members of
out-of-town Catholic patients, please call Sister Mary Ann at 762-6841. 15TH ANNUAL
MASS FOR SHUT-INS: The Society of St. Vincent
de Paul is holding its 15th annual Mass for Shut-Ins at
Immaculate Conception Parish (839 Sutherland Ave) on Saturday, May 24 at 11
am. All who are sick or shut in are invited to this special
celebration of the Mass and anointing of the sick followed by a social and tea
in the Parish Hall. We are inviting any parishioners who are not able to
attend Mass in a church to attend. We can provide transportation for anyone
who needs it and can arrange for wheel chair accessible vans if you need it.
If you know of anyone who is shut in their homes or in a Nursing Home or
Assisted Living Facility, please let us know and we will assist you in getting
them to the Mass. It is wonderful healing Mass, full of God’s

celebrated Mothers' Day with the sale of silk flowers. This annual event
focuses attention on the appreciation of motherhood while raising money to
carry on pro-life educational work. Silk Roses will be available before
and after all Masses this weekend. The suggested donation is $1 each. 2007
