Fr.
Giuseppe Sarto Nine years after his move to the seminary, Bishop Apollonio summoned
Giuseppe Sarto to his private chapel for an interview. At first they prayed
together. Then, after some time,
the Bishop rose and handed him a letter.
The letter was addressed to him from Rome. Giuseppe Sarto had been appointed Bishop of Mantua.
Upon reading the letter, Giuseppe broke down and cried.
“I am not worthy… I am not capable.”
He insisted. But his
Bishop comforted him and told him “It is God’s will, learn to trust in
Him.”
