a group in Burundi, Africa that helps women benefit from a more just income
when selling their coffee; a group in El Salvador which trains small farmers
in ecological farming; and the Philippines’ Urban Poor Associates, which has
helped more than 285,000 families with housing rights issues since 1992. Each
partner organization touches the lives of many thousands. Your donation allows
that to happen. Give generously today so that others may live with dignity.

Fr.
Giuseppe Sarto Six years into his stay at Salzano, the town was hit by cholera.
Most people fell ill and many died.
Guiseppe was called to perform a number of different tasks: including
that of health inspector, nurse and even doctor.
The dead were buried at all times of the day, including at night.
On top of the many services he was called to do, Guiseppe also helped
to carry the coffins and, sometimes, even dug the graves.
When it was noted by his sister that he himself had become ill, the
bishop himself was forced to write the young pastor to tell him to take better
care of himself.
