A REMARKABLE PUZZLE ..Test your Bible skills!
Can you find the names of 25 books of the Bible in this paragraph? This is a most remarkable puzzle. Someone found it in the seat pocket on a flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu, keeping himself occupied for hours. One man from Illinois worked on this while fishing from his john boat. Roy Clark studied it while playing his banjo. Elaine Victs mentioned it in her column once. One woman judges the job to be so involving, she brews a cup of tea to help calm her nerves. There will be some names that are really easy to spot...that's a fact. Some people will soon find themselves in a jam, especially since the book names are not necessarily capitalized. The truth is, from answers we get, we are forced to admit it usually takes a minister or scholar to see some of them at the worst. Something in our genes is responsible for the difficulty we have. Those able to find all of them will hear great lamentations from those who have to be shown. One revelation may help, books like! Timothy and Samuel may occur without their numbers. And punctuation or spaces in the middle are normal. A chipper attitude will help you compete. Remember, there are 25 books of the Bible lurking somewhere in this paragraph

FAMILIES:  St. Pius X invites you to celebrate Family Stations of the Cross (ideal for children pre-school age to Grade 3) at 10:30 a.m. on Good Friday.  It will be followed by Hot Cross Bun, Muffin, and Juice lunch.

Did YOU FIND the 16 BOOKS OF THE BIBLE? (answer below):
I ONCE HEARD A REMARK ABOUT THE HIDDEN BOOKS OF THE BIBLE. IT WAS A LULU, KEPT PEOPLE LOOKING SO HARD FOR FACTS AND FOR OTHERS IT WAS A REVELATION. SOME WERE IN A JAM, ESPECIALLY SINCE THE NAME OF THE BOOKS WERE NOT CAPITALIZED. BUT THE TRUTH FINALLY STRUCK HOME TO NUMBERS OF READERS. TO OTHERS IT WAS A REAL JOB. WE WANT IT TO BE A MOST FASCINATING FEW MOMENTS FOR YOU. YES, THERE WILL BE SOME REAL EASY ONES TO SPOT, OTHERS MAY REQUIRE JUDGES TO HELP. I WILL QUICKLY ADMIT, IT USUALLY TAKES A MINISTER TO FIND ONE OF THEM, AND THERE WILL BE LOUD LAMENTATIONS WHEN IT IS FOUND. A LITTLE LADY SAYS SHE BREWS A CUP OF TEA, SO SHE CAN CONCENTRATE BETTER. SEE HOW WELL YOU CAN COMPETE. RELAX NOW FOR THERE REALLY ARE SIXTEEN NAMES OF THE BOOKS IN THE BIBLE IN THIS STORY.

ORDINATION DVD:  The Ordination Committee is pleased to make available DVD recordings of Bishop Corriveau's Ordination on 30 January, 2008.  The cost for the two hour recording is $12 each (which includes shipping within the diocese).  Please send your cheque, made payable to Immaculate Conception Church and drop it off to our parish office.  Thank you.

MARIAN HOUR OF PRAYER:  The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring our Marian Hour of Prayer at Holy Spirit Church on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.  We invite and encourage all to take part and pray with us where we will celebrate Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre.  It is appropriate for the Knights to honour our Lady of Charity this year since Charity is one of the order’s main principles.  This program is an opportunity to reflect on the virtue of charity and what it means to all of us.

A HOLY HOUR OF ADORATION, sponsored by Rachel's Vineyard will be held at St. Charles Garnier church on Tuesday evening, March 18th after the 7 p.m. Mass, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.  Note the change of time to the evening, as
there is no morning Mass on this date.  We invite everyone to come and pray for the healing of hearts wounded by abortion, and for an end to abortion."

  Rachel’s Corner

We celebrate today the fact that Jesus came to liberate us.  He came not just to pay the price for our sins but to open the way for us to be delivered from all our brokenness.
