PREPARING FOR EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS: All parishioners are asked to spend some time this week meditating on the following passage:

The Gift is Jesus!

A Samaritan woman came t draw some water, and Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink of water.” (His disciples had gone into town to buy food.) The woman answered, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan—so how can you ask me for a drink?” (Jews will not use the same cups and bowls that Samaritans use.)

Jesus answered, “If you only knew what God gives and who it is that is asking you for a drink, you would ask him, and he would give you life-giving water.”

“Sir,” the woman said, “you don’t have a bucket, and the well is deep. Where would you get that life-giving water? It was our ancestor Jacob who gave us this well; he and his children and his flocks all drank from it. You don’t claim to be greater than Jacob, do you?” Jesus answered, “Those who drink this water will get thirsty again, but those who drink the water that I will give them will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give them will become in them a spring which will provide them with life-giving water and give them eternal life.” “Sir,” the woman said, “give me that water! Then I will never be thirsty again, nor will I have to come here to draw water.”

Altar Guild: We are forming an Altar Guild that would take care of setting up for the weekend Masses, launder the altar cloths and arrange flowers. Not all people would have to do all things and we would rotate weekends depending on how many people are interested. This is a very fulfilling ministry. KofC JUNE BREAKFAST: The Knights of Columbus will be hosting the June breakfast next weekend after Sunday masses.

SPECIAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION AT ST. PIUS X PARISH: During the week of June 16^th to the June 20^th from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (between the two weekday masses). Our Bishop has asked that we celebrate the week of the Eucharistic Congress in Quebec with our own activities to mark this momentous coming together of the Catholic world in Canada. Please sign up at the main entrance of the Church.

HOMELESSNESS IN B.C. – If you want to take a stand for the homelessness in B.C. , please join a group of concerned citizens at Hwy 33 and Rutland Road each Saturday from 1-2 p.m.

PRODUCE FOR BAZAAR: At this time of year we ask the parishioners to plant more produce for the Farmers Market stall at our parish bazaar. Thank you, Jim and Marie Janz (250) 763-6610.

SUMMER SERVICES AT SANDALWOODS: There will be no services at Sandalwood June, July, or August. They will resume in September.

PARISH VISITORS’ MEETING: The next meeting will be held in the Catechetical Centre (1056 Fuller Avenue) on Tuesday, June 3^rd at 1:30 p.m. All those who visit the sick or shut-in members of our parish are invited to attend.

SETON HOUSE OF PRAYER: Directed Retreats - There will be two 6 day directed retreats this summer. June 22-28, July 6-12 and August 2-9. Do you know any little detectives that want to come to our Vacation Bible School this summer??? This year’s theme is "Searching for Jesus.... a Catholic Experience. ACTORS AND DANCERS FOR JESUS: Do you enjoy being on stage? Why not offer your talents to Jesus?
