A friend was in front of me coming out of church one
day, and the preacher was standing at the door as he always is to shake hands.
He grabbed my friend by the hand and pulled him aside. The Pastor said to him, "You need to join the
Army of the Lord!" My friend replied, "I'm already in the Army of
the Lord, Pastor." Pastor questioned, "How come I don't see you
except at Christmas and Easter?" He whispered back, "I'm in the secret
service.” A WEDDING IS A DAY ... A MARRIAGE IS A LIFETIME. Catholic Engaged Encounter – A Time for Growth,

Pope
Pius X Many were convinced that, because of his ardent
desire to help and comfort the suffering, Pope Pius X’s prayers and
blessings led to several miraculous cures.
In one case, two nuns suffering from an incurable disease, made the
trip to Rome to beg the Pope for a cure.
The Pope laid his hands on them and blessed them.
Whereas the two nuns barely had enough energy to drag themselves into
his presence, they left his presence with no sign of distress.
So dramatic was the change that their driver, who failed to recognize
them, refused them entry into his vehicle.
When they insisted the driver replied, “The two I brought were half
dead; you are not in the least like them.”
