NEWS:- This is
a letter from a resident who left on Jan 1st 2009. First of all, thank you
for a safe and healthy place for me to stay.
I can’t imagine where I would be if it had not been available to me.
I thank all the staff for what they have done for me (past and
present). I will never forget
what this place gave me. It is a
great place and I hope it helps a lot more in the years to come.
St Vincent de Paul saved my life by letting me into their life.
I pray for all of them. Your Friend D.S.
P.S. No Retreat, No
Surrender. I will never forget.
Thank you. Holy Childhood Children’s Collection:-

the little church in front of the altar).
Thank You.

ADORATION:- “This is the primary meaning of
adoration and of Eucharistic Adoration: to be and to remain in the presence of
the Living God, to simply open up our soul to Him (i.e. to be open to His
grace) and learn to receive as a child offering oneself and receiving
simultaneously. Is this not what
love is all about?” Les petite Traites Spirituels - Philippe Madre

Tidbits from the Life of St. Pius Xth Giuseppe Sarto received
his first communion at the age of twelve. This
was back in the days when the sacrament of confirmation was celebrated at an
earlier age and Holy Communion was reserved for a later age.
Giuseppe’s love for the Eucharist may have caused him to reflect back
on his own experience of waiting, for when he became Pope he changed the age of
reception from “the time of adolescents” (between the age of twelve and
fourteen) to “the age of reason” (between the age of seven and eight).
