gluten in wheat. Since all
communion hosts contain wheat, those suffering from Celiac are strongly

for this purpose and placed on the corner of the altar.
Due to the possibility of cross-contamination, no one receiving the
Sacred Host should receive from this cup. TRAVELING CHALICE As part of our month-long focus on the call of God,

Feb 11th, the World Day of the Sick, we will be celebrating the
Sacrament of the Sick at our 9:00 am Mass. Who
is eligible according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church? #1514:-
The Anointing of the Sick “is not a sacrament for those only who are at the
point of death. Hence, as soon as
anyone of the faithful begins to be in danger of death from sickness or old
age, the fitting time for him/her to receive this sacrament has certainly
already. #1515:-
If a sick person who received this anointing recovers his/her health, he/she
can in the case of another grave illness receive the sacrament again. If during the same illness the person’s condition becomes
more serious, the sacrament may be repeated.
It is fitting to receive the Anointing of the Sick just prior to a
serious operation. The same holds
for the elderly whose frailty becomes more pronounced. (Please note the use of the words: “Grave”,
“Serious”, and “in danger of death”) The
Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available before Mass at 8:15 am and is
recommended fro those who will be anointed. Please
feel free to approach Fr Bart at any time when you are in need of this
Sacrament. It
is important for the rest of the Christian Community to come and show their
solidarity with our sick and to pray for them often. MARDI GRAS – SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER Offered
