THANKS AGAIN: Thank you Joe Kehler, a new member of our Parish, for spending painting.

BIRTHDAY OF BLESSED MARY: September 8^th, the Birthday of Our Blessed Mother, marks ten years of Perpetual Adoration in our city. Please join us at St. Pius X for the Rosary at 5 p.m. followed by Holy Mass of Thanksgiving at 5:30, with a potluck to follow in the hall. All are welcome. Please bring a dish.

CATECHISM NEWS: Registration forms have been sent out to the families who were registered with us last year. If you are in need of a registration form, please pick it up at the office. Thank you to those who have registered and all others, please get your registration forms in as soon as possible.

The first teachers meeting will be Tuesday September 16, at 7 p.m. We hope to see all teachers there. Catechism classes will begin Tuesday, September 23^rd, at 6 p.m.

DIOCESAN YOUTH RALLY: Penticton, October 17 – 19^th, calling all youth in grades 7 – 12. Chaperones are also needed. Registration forms are available from the office.

MASS AT SANDALWOOD: Mass at Sandalwood Retirement Home will resume on Thursday, September 11^th.

1^ST PARISH VISITORS’ MEETING: The first Parish Visitors’ Meeting will be held September 9^th, 1:30 at 1056 Fuller Avenue. Please note this month only it will be the first rather than the second Tuesday of the month.

BAZAAR NEWS

Along with a Gift Certificate we received news of a GREAT opportunity for “Kids Day – Sunday August 24^th” as part of National Bowling Week. From 12 – 5 p.m. you and your family can enjoy free bowling, hot dogs, prizes and more at M^cCurdy Bowling Centre.

BAZAAR DONATIONS: Sharon will be in the hall and/or Parish Office from Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., until after the Bazaar. All donations are welcome. Please feel free to drop them off before/after masses, or anytime during these hours. They can be put in the hall or dropped at the office.

FUNERAL MASS – IN SPANISH: On Monday, August 25^th, at 10:30 a.m., there will be a Funeral Mass for Sylvia Magowan..Father Otto Rollheiser will be presiding and the mass will be presented in Spanish.

IMMACULATA REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL: The beginning of the 2008/09 school year is just around the corner. If you wish to enroll your child at Immaculata for the upcoming school year, there is limited space still remaining in some grades.
