Tidbits from the Life of St. Pius Xth

Fr. Giuseppe Sarto

After eight years of faithful service to the people of Salzano, his Bishop was faced with the task of filling three separate positions.  He needed a new chancellor, he needed to fill a vacancy at the Cathedral and he eeded a man to serve as Spiritual Director in the seminary at Padua.  Giuseppe’s name came to mind.  He would be asked to reside at the seminary, where his meals would be provided, assuring the well being of his health and body.
