CHILDREN’S CHOIR The next Mass for the children’s choir will be April
11th. We will hold practice after catechism on Tuesday April
6th. PRAYER DURING THE DAY Any parishioner who would like to pray in the church between the hours of
9:30 am – noon or 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm can simply come to the office and they
will be let in.

entrance of the Church. The welcoming area will be extended inwards and
the confessionals will be moved. The plans are already drawn up.

Winfield are hosting a series of Holy Hours for Priests. Let us show our
support for our priests by attending, turning our prayers into a holy
pilgrimage. The next Holy Hour will be Fri. Apr 9th, at St.
Theresa's church in Rutland, from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. THE SECULAR ORDER OF DISCALCED CARMELITES Are you a practicing Catholic who would like to

TALENT NIGHT AT IMMACULATA The band students of Immaculata Regional High School
are hosting an evening of music, dance, comedy and fine desserts and
refreshments on Fri Apr 9th at 7:00 pm at Immaculata. Tickets
are $10 per person and are available from all grade 9-12 band students or by
calling the school at 250-762-2730. All
proceeds for this event go to offset the cost of the Band Trip to Calgary.

a mega earthquake on Saturday Feb 27th. The Sisters of the Child Jesus have lived and worked among
the poor in this country for many years.
Our donations will be made through the Missionary Association of the

Available. MORE NEWS FROM OUR PARISH AGM Parish Financial Matters Last year we spent $66,972.14 more than we brought
in. This was mainly due to the
extraordinary expenses on the roof. With
our income dropping almost $10,000 over the first three months compared to
last year, we are foreseeing a $29,000 deficit this year on our daily
operating budget. We are also
planning to renovate the front entrance and replace all the neon lights in all
the buildings (since replacement parts are no longer available due to new
environmental laws). These two
projects will come from our building account (the money we raised several
years ago for renovations to the church. To date we have $148,000 in our operating account
and $138,000 in the building account. You
will be kept up to date in regards to the cost of the two projects as
estimates are made available. Thank

House of Prayer Raffle Tickets are now available. Tickets are $2 each ($20 for
