Parishes from W. Kelowna to Winfield have been hosting a series of Holy Hours for Priests since Dec/09.  The final Holy Hour will be Fri May 7^th, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Westbank from 7:00 ‑ 8:00 pm.  Make a pilgrimage to the Westside and let us all gather together to support our priests in prayer!

Our Council is hosting the Annual CWL Retreat at Seton House on Monday May 10^th from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.  Fr. There will be no Bepi’s Bistro this Sunday.  Because of Sr. Mary Ann’s Chilli for Chile this Sunday the 18^th, the next Bepi’s Bistro will be Apr 25^th.

Come and enjoy some homemade chilli after the 11:00 am mass this Sunday April 18^th here at St Pius.  All donations will go to aid the people of Chile who suffered a mega earthquake on Saturday Feb 27^th.  The Sisters of the Child Jesus have lived and worked among the poor in this country for many years.  Our donations will be made through the Missionary Association of the SCJ and will be used to help these people rebuild their lives.

An elderly lady was well-known for her faith and for her boldness in talking about it.  She would stand on her front porch and shout "PRAISE THE LORD!"

Next door to her lived an atheist who would get so angry at her proclamations he would shout, "There ain't no Lord!!"

Hard times set in on the elderly lady, and she prayed for GOD to send her some assistance.  She stood on her porch and shouted "PRAISE THE LORD.  GOD I NEED FOOD!!  I AM HAVING A HARD TIME.  PLEASE LORD, SEND ME SOME GROCERIES!!"

The next morning the lady went out on her porch and noted a large bag of groceries and shouted, "PRAISE THE LORD."

The neighbor jumped from behind a bush and said, "Aha! I told you there was no Lord.  I bought those groceries, God didn't."

The lady started jumping up and down and clapping her hands and said, "PRAISE THE LORD.  He not only sent me groceries, but He made the devil pay for them.  Praise the Lord!"
